Insider Threat

Insider threats are security risks that come from individuals within an organization who have authorized access to its systems, data, or facilities. These threats can be intentional or unintentional and may result in harm to operations, personnel, or infrastructure. According to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), insider threats can take many forms, including espionage, sabotage, theft, cyberattacks, or even workplace violence.
