This offence criminalises offering, promising, or giving a corrupt advantage to a foreign public official, either directly or indirectly, to influence their role. It covers entities with a UK link and aligns with international anti-corruption standards, even when the recipient acts lawfully in their jurisdiction but improperly in terms of the UK test.
