U.S. Reportable Account
A U.S. reportable account is any financial account maintained by an FFI that is held by one or more specified U.S. persons or by a passive NFFE with U.S. owners. FFIs must perform due diligence to identify such accounts and annually report balances, gross interest, dividends, and sales proceeds to the IRS.
