STOCK Act

The STOCK Act (Stop Trading on Congressional Knowledge Act) is a U.S. law enacted in 2012 that prohibits members of Congress, federal employees, and other government officials from using non-public information gained through their positions for personal financial benefit. It aims to prevent insider trading and increase transparency through timely disclosure of financial transactions by public officials.
