Red Flag Indicator (RFI)

An RFI is a warning sign?transaction, behavior, document, or claim?that suggests potential fraud and triggers further investigation. Examples include inconsistent documentation, repeated small claims, or digital anomalies. IRDAI mandates insurers to identify and act on RFIs via their Fraud Monitoring Committees and Units.
