Public Official Scope

The Act extends to public officials from any jurisdiction. Offering gifts, hospitality, or payments to non-UK officials in exchange for a business advantage can constitute a UK offence under Section 6. Interpretation centers on intent and performance improvement, not whether such acts are criminal in the recipient?s country.
