Participating FFI (PFFI)

A PFFI is an FFI that registers with the IRS and agrees (via FFI Agreement or Model 2 IGA) to identify and report U.S. account holder data. They comply with FATCA?s due diligence and withholding rules and are exempt from the 30% withholding tax on withholdable payments.
